Chef Ryan's Announces New Menu for Hope 46
If you're looking for somewhere new to eat dinner at in North Park, Hope 46 might just be your answer. Executive Chef, Ryan Gilbert, is introducing new concepts to the dining menu this Spring. If you're not already familiar with us, Hope 46 is our modern American restaurant at The Lafayette hotel. We continually show case a fun balance between the old and new by combining a serene setting of a mid-century jazz club with modern twists on traditional San Diego dinner cuisine.
Gilbert came to his profession through a fondness for cooking through his Sicilian Dutch heritage, but more specifically attributes his passion for culinary arts to his renowned chef grandfather Simone "Sam" Billuni. Like his grandfather, Ryan has worked his way up, cooking at prestigious California restaurants like Maderas Golf Club in Poway after graduating from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco in 2005.
To date, some of Ryan's signature creations for Hope 46 include Wild Boar Oreccheitte and a Citrus-Marinated Free-Range Chicken prepared with pork belly and brussel sprouts. His new menu, that will be launched later this Spring, brings the focus closer to home. Featuring more fresh Pacific seafood entrees such as a Pan Roasted Arctic Char with Beluga Lentils, sweet peas and Verjus Buerre, Ryan continues to wow us with his creative combinations.
You'll also want to get ready for some adjustments to staples like the Coulette Steak which will be served with mouthwatering Romesco, grilled baby Fennel and Cippolini Onions, Marble Potatoes and Toasted Hazelnuts. And don't forget to watch for a southern flair to be added to traditional American dishes. These will include the likes of fried chicken and deviled eggs, to name a few.
With all of these tantalizing new options, you can get ready to book your table or private dining event at Hope 46.
