Let's take a look back to a time of jazz, dance halls and speakeasies. Among the Gatsby glitz and glamour, we find sophistication and romance. This was everything we felt for Katie and Zach's 1920's soiree.
Katie wore a beautiful white mermaid gown and bird cage hair piece, with an entourage in full-length pale pink dresses. Zach and his groomsmen wore iconic Chucks, that became popular in the 20's, with an all black suit and color coordinating pink ties. Following their written vows in the Conservatory, the couple moved outside for photos. With it being a cool November evening, Katie donned a white fur stole, completing her vintage look.
Upon entering the reception, the Mississippi Ballroom offered a step back to the past. Already adorned with the one-of-a-kind knockout clamshell stage, parquet dance floor and supper club-like feel, Katie added her own touches of retro glam. Find white peacock feathers throughout the high and low centerpieces by Tessfresh Flowers, including her bouquet. A few were added atop their white two-tiered cake, surrounded by mini cheesecake bites and desserts.
After the partying, champagne-popping and dancing through the night, the couple ended the day in our Penthouse suite.
The Lafayette has played host to many Hollywood celebrities since the 1940's including Bob Hope and Ava Gardner. On November 17th, Katie and Zach were the stars of the show!
