Bob Hope slept here.  So did Betty Grable and Ava Gardner. Through the forties and fifties it was Imig Manor that pulled in the stars of Hollywood and kick started the San Diego celebrity cult. It all began with an idea. Open a hotel for celebrities wishing to remain anonymous, desperate to be seen, or looking to misbehave. This was the dream of Larry Imig – entrepreneur, home builder, flirt. Always mindful of its great history, the hotel today is a budget getaway for hip parents traveling with children, international travelers, and free spirits who tend to find common ground the same indiscriminating elements and historic charm that made celebrities never want to leave.

Room Guarantee & Cancellation Policy:

A credit card is requested to guarantee reservations online or by telephone and will be required at check in. For hotel reservations booked on our website or by telephone please notify The Lafayette Hotel at 619 296 2101, by email, or online at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date to make changes to or cancel reservations. For reservations made via a third party vendor such as Expedia.com guests will need to contact that vendor directly to cancel or modify your reservation.

Late cancellations or “no-shows” will be subject to charges for one night’s stay and applicable taxes.  The credit card used to guarantee your reservation will be charged.  The cancellation policy is subject to change during Special Events or Promotional Rates.
